There’s no receptionist on site, so checking in and out means walking 500m to another hotel. Our Superior Double room was roomy and close to the garden, but it was on the ground floor by the street. The curtain was broken, letting in the streetlight, and the bed was rock hard. It made for a noisy, bright, uncomfortable night. There was also nowhere to put anything in the shower, and no soap.

There aren’t many places to eat nearby, but the botanical garden and San Antonio do Padova church are only a few steps away. The bus station is surprisingly easy to get to, and you can take the bus to the popular areas.

The room was fairly clean, but it didn’t match the photos and the layout wasn’t very good. The bathroom was gloomy, with just one light in the middle, leaving the sink and mirror almost dark. There’s no shower shelf for soap or shampoo, and water leaked out through the badly sealed shower. The location was good, but I wouldn’t stay here again.

The staff were so friendly and made sure we felt at home. We could walk to all the main tourist spots, and the area was really quiet. Our room had lots of light from the big windows and plenty of space, with a very comfortable bed. The hotel is in a beautiful old house that’s been restored with good taste.

Just a minute from Prato della Valle, and the room was clean, comfortable, and excellent. There’s no breakfast option. Housekeeping is available, but no other service, which is why I’ve given service three stars. Just so you know, this is the sister hotel to Hotel Pellegrino.
