The beach, shops, and patisserie are an easy walk away, and the place is nice and quiet. We cooked in the kitchen, which is better than mine at home. Carmen was a great host and ready to help whenever we couldn't find something. Loved it!

Il Veliero is a real gem. The beach is about a 10-minute walk away, with shops and other amenities nearby, though the B&B is a bit off the beaten path in a developing area. Taormina is around half an hour by car, or 15 minutes if you drive Italian-style! We had a great stay. The room was spotless and the attention to detail was first class. Claudio and Carmen really know how to look after their guests, much better than some so-called hoteliers I've stayed with. You even get freshly baked cakes first thing in the morning. You'd hardly guess this was a B&B. Thanks, guys!

The room was nice, but the breakfast was a letdown. Don't expect what's shown in the photos: there was no cake or anything else, just small amounts of warm, packaged discount-store food. They were willing to take away whatever was left, but... I expected more based on the pictures. There was no parking.
