The hotel has an old-fashioned feel, but that gave it a cosier atmosphere than a bigger, impersonal modern place. We had a roomy room with plenty of storage and a great view over the water toward the port. Breakfast was fresh, tasty, and varied, and the shops and port were close by. There are small beaches within an easy walk, with larger ones a bit farther out. We walked to the famous Roccia dell Orso, Bear Rock, in under an hour, and the views were spectacular. La Maddelena island and archipelago are about fifteen minutes by ferry, with boats every fifteen minutes, making it easy to explore the town and go farther if you have a car. We spent a week here with a friend and felt at home from the moment we arrived. Reception were especially friendly, helpful, and genuinely interested in what we were doing each day.

For what it costs, especially in August when I went, this hotel is a really good deal. The location is hard to beat, close to shops, restaurants, nightlife, beaches, and ferries. The room and bathroom are a little dated, but clean, with good water pressure. The AC worked well and the beds were comfortable, though the fridge and TV are small. I liked the buffet breakfast, with plenty of variety. I’d book here again.

The facilities could use an update, and I occasionally heard noise from the bathroom plumbing. Still, the hotel felt comfortable and dependable, and the staff were friendly and polite. It’s very clean and sits near the port, which made getting around easy without a car. I had a good stay and would recommend it, especially to travelers who value that location. If you’re driving, there may be better value farther from the port. Those who are especially sensitive to noise or want modern facilities might find it less suitable.

The rooms have an old, charming look and very little decoration, which I liked. I even extended my stay to enjoy the breeze through the open window. It’s an easy walk into town, and you can take a ferry across to La Maddalena. The ladies at the desk were so welcoming every time. I’ll come back.

We stayed here in 2024 as a family of four, with our two kids aged 12 and 15. It was very affordable, the staff were super friendly, and breakfast was generous. We’d happily stay again.
