Le Perle

The apartment was comfortable for our group of six, and having two bathrooms and good air conditioning made a real difference. It’s also very well placed, only a few minutes from the center and the beach. There were a few frustrations: the cleaning on arrival wasn’t thorough, and we found white hairs that may have been left by the previous guests’ dog. Parking was hard to find on several occasions, and getting to use the pool wasn’t easy. We enjoyed our stay, though a few small changes could make it better.

The two women who helped us check in were very kind when we called with a problem, so five stars to them. The apartment was nearly fine, but only about half clean, and parking was scarce. We couldn’t find the owners when we arrived, so a cleaner gave us their phone number. The pool feels more like what you’d expect at a three-star place, and the town center is about a kilometer away.

The mattress was the main letdown. It was so thin that it sagged under us, and when I turned on my side I could feel the springs. The pillows were extremely soft too, and the living room TV often stuttered because the signal wasn’t right. Still, we had a lovely ten days at Le Perle. The apartment was spotless and nicely furnished, with large windows, great bathrooms and showers, and no noise from the neighbors. It had a washing machine, clothesline, air conditioning, TV, balconies, and big sun terraces, plus shared outdoor spaces and a pool. The residence sits on a small hill, tucked away but close to everything. Dettori Market is about a five-minute walk, and Palau’s beach and harbor area are around ten minutes on foot. The agency staff were very kind and proactive at check-in, and showed us local attractions and places they work with.

In Palau, this home puts you close to the main road for exploring the rest of Sardinia, while still making it easy to enjoy the city. It’s spacious, cozy, and quiet inside, with thoughtful furnishings and a well-kept feel. The seaside atmosphere even makes staying in feel like part of the holiday.
