We had 10 beautiful days here in April 2025, and it’s a wonderful place for a family stay. The hosts, Mrs and Mr Ghidotti, were great and easy-going. Palazzolo Acreide is a cozy little town nearby, and Syracusa and Noto aren’t far either.

We had a lovely week here as a family of eight adults and a 9-month-old baby. The country property is huge and close to lots of tourist sights. The owners are warm and welcoming, everything is clean, and the gardens and large pool are very well kept. A real treat, so come and enjoy your stay!
A short drive from Palazzolo Acreide, Il Borghetto di Santa Lucia has all the essentials close by, including a supermarket, pharmacy, bars, and restaurants. It’s a great base, but what makes it special is how far it feels from the bustle and August heat of Sicilian cities. Mirco and Laura are kind, helpful, and dedicated, and made us feel at home throughout. The property is surrounded by greenery and feels like a little paradise for a few quiet, relaxing days. The large pool is well cared for and set among nature and silence. You can book a double room or an apartment, both simply furnished with good taste. I definitely recommend staying at Il Borghetto di Santa Lucia. You won’t regret it.
Laura and Mirco are what really make this place special. They welcome you like a guest in their own home, with so much attention to detail, excellent breakfasts, and warmth that’s hard to beat. The estate itself is beautiful, with a great pool, open green spaces, and lovely rooms with a personal touch. Palazzolo Acreide is also a handy base for the sights we wanted to visit, most no more than 30 minutes away. We hadn’t expected the climate to be so pleasant at 800 meters above sea level. We’ll be back soon!
Laura gave us a lovely welcome and was always helpful. She’s discreet, but keeps an eye on guests’ comfort and makes sure they have what they need. Breakfast was delicious too. It’s only a few minutes by car from the charming village of Palazzolo Acreide. The place is a feast for the eyes, and ideal for relaxing quietly, alone or with family. We enjoyed the hammock, cooling off in the big pool during the Sicilian heat, and having barbecues. Our first visit, but definitely not our last.
