Arco del Sole 2

Marco and Vincenzo welcomed us warmly and shared tips on sights and places to eat. The apartment itself is large, comfortable, and well furnished. The noise outside was the problem. Especially at weekends, the drinkerias along the street played loud club music until after 3am. We could hear it clearly through the closed windows. They kept out voices well enough, but not the bass beats or amplified live bands. Earplugs might make it possible to sleep through, and the street could suit someone who wants to drink until 3am, but otherwise the noise can be an issue.

We spent five days in Palermo and found Arco Del Sole a cosy, clean apartment and a handy base for seeing the city. The main attractions are close, and there are lots of great restaurants around. We drove there, and Vincenzo helped us find free parking just a few metres away. We hadn't expected Palermo's driving to be so crazy, though, so we left the car parked for all five days and took the train to places like Cefalu.

This was the best apartment of our whole trip around Sicily, with all the comforts we wanted. Don't let the stairs put you off, friends will help carry your suitcases.

The apartment is absolutely the best, and the location is great. Vincenzo is a friendly, caring host who was very helpful. He knows the good restaurants and POIs.
