I still don’t know whether Artisan Maison will refund our money, since they haven’t shown any room for communication or improvement. We planned a three-day stay, but our plans changed and I messaged them two weeks before arrival. I assumed we wouldn’t be charged, but my card was billed eight days before check-in. Their “welcome@...” email bounced back as undeliverable. I tried both phone numbers listed on their site, Booking.com, VRBO, and their billing service several times, but nobody answered. The website says they’re available “24/7,” which simply isn’t true. I eventually filled out a form just above one of the unanswered phone numbers. The next day they told me they don’t allow cancellations eight days before check-in. They may have a nice facility, but we’re now locked into finding out.

The design was lovely, the rooms were clean, service was good, and the location was perfect. Everything felt like a five out of five, and it’s the first hotel where I’ve felt at home. The manager was very friendly and helpful, and plays the piano beautifully. And the receptionist is a lovely cat 🥰. Highly recommend!

The apartment has a lot of character, with a really interesting design and style. It’s close to both the city center and the coast. Maurizio and the apartment staff were helpful and professional.

The terrace where breakfast is served is spacious and has an interesting layout. You might also run into the second owner, the cat Nicolas :). The place has an artistic, distinctive design and a natural, homely feel. Maurizio was very cordial, as were the smiling, helpful, friendly women at reception. It’s in a great spot for attractions, restaurants, and bars. Highly recommend for a stay in Palermo!

The owner was really kind. We had to go to the hospital in the morning, and he arranged a taxi for us and left breakfast. The B&B looks just like the pictures, and the room was very clean, with a balcony overlooking the street. Little extras like Alexa connectivity and Spotify premium were nice, too. I’ll definitely come back on my next visit to Palermo!
