The bathroom was across the hallway, so having to leave the room every time I needed the toilet was annoying. The towels felt more like rags. The owner only speaks Italian and used Google Translate to communicate. I also don't think asking guests to pay the taxes in cash is the right way to handle it. This felt more like an apartment with rooms than a hotel, and better suited to a quick overnight stay than the five days we spent there. There was no sound insulation, so you could hear everything. After breakfast, the staff left at 10:30, and if you needed something, nobody was around. For three people there was one small trash bin that filled quickly, with no clear place to put the rest of our rubbish. The small fridge was always leaking, the TV was monitor-sized, and the air conditioner showed errors and didn't ventilate the room properly. Please change the name that promises a sea view. We could see rooftops and a tiny, barely visible puddle, not the sea. Breakfast was just croissants and yogurts, and other guests were loud in the morning, clattering dishes, playing videos, and talking loudly. Personally, I'd rather pay more for normal hotel service.

The owner was very sweet. She showed us our room and pointed out the main streets from the balcony. The buzzer for the building is at number 519, though the lettering has worn away and it was hard to spot when we arrived. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely terrace made private by planters. The separate bathroom was large and right next door, so it was easy to pop in. Breakfast was lovely, and we enjoyed it on the terrace. The place looked even nicer than the photos and was our favorite stay during a week in western Sicily. The city tax is €3 per person per day, and they only take cash for it. Thanks for a lovely stay ❣️🇮🇹

We knew from earlier reviews that the toilet and shower were in the corridor rather than inside the room. It worked out fine since the bathroom was private and we had keys. The owner was friendly and communicative, and each day she kindly checked whether we wanted freshening up or the bed made. The room was spacious and clean, with air conditioning and a balcony that was great for lunch or dinner when we didn't feel like eating out. There was a beautiful mountain view. Breakfast included sweet and savory pastries, juice, cereal with milk, coffee, and tea. The owner made espresso or cappuccino with care.

Such a pleasant stay, and there was no disruptive street bustle to listen to. The Palermo view was lovely, and the owner was very kind and welcoming. I'd absolutely recommend it.

We stayed in early March, 23. It's in downtown, clean and comfortable, with a good breakfast and a nice host. The cost and benefits were the best opportunity. We'll come back soon.
