Cala Loft by Wonderful Italy

The architectural complex is beautiful, and the loft has a gorgeous terrace, but at this price I expected more. Our check-in was scheduled for 3:00 PM, and the apartment still wasn’t clean when we arrived. Even after it had supposedly been cleaned, the sofa, cushions, sofa cover, and terrace were unpleasant, so we had to clean up ourselves. The sofa was the worst part, covered in wine stains and other dirt. We couldn’t use it until we washed the cover and hid the cushions underneath. Some lights didn’t work, including the one in the laundry room, which left a blind spot where we needed a flashlight. We asked Wonderful Italy to replace them. They agreed on a date, then never contacted us. The terrace door is hard to open, and the sofas and lights need replacing. For a loft like this, some of the details aren’t worth what we paid. The fridge is tiny, there’s no freezer, and there are no cleaning products or supplies for the dishwasher or washing machine. YOU HAVE A BEAUTIFUL CITY AND A BEAUTIFUL PLACE. RESPECT IT AND KEEP IT CLEAN!

The loft looks great at first, just like the pictures, and it has two bathrooms. But the rooftop terrace has no shade, and the cushions in the storage room were too dirty to touch. You wouldn’t want to sit on the couch without bringing your own cushion, either. There were obvious traces of previous parties. The rooms are large and hard to cool, even with three air conditioners. The electricity key is attached to the only key for the front door, so you can’t leave the air conditioning on when you go out. The bed sits at the highest point in a room with no windows, and I could only sleep comfortably with a fan. The shower is only suitable for someone under 1.70 m (5'7"), and I wouldn’t consider the loft suitable for children. Wunderful Italy comes across as a big, rather cold and businesslike chain. We had to arrange an exact check-in time the day before, and they insisted we stick to it despite Palermo traffic making that impossible. Luckily, Antonio was more flexible in person.
