Camelot B&B Palermo

A complete disaster, not worth even one star. There was no proper reception and communication was poor, with emails unanswered and the website showing a wrong phone number with an extra 0. It was noisy, dirty, smelled bad, and had no comfort. Breakfast was very poor and didn’t start until 8:30 am. The lift wasn’t available, so we had to carry our luggage up almost four steep floors.

The only good things I can say are that William was friendly, could be texted at any time, and there was a nice view from the roof. His reply was that we wouldn’t get our money back. We’d planned to stay five days, but left before spending even one night and received no refund. The place was shabby inside and out, and even getting there from the train station was an adventure. We arrived much later than we’d originally said, yet still had to wait for the room to be made ready. Once inside, we didn’t dare get under the sheets, let alone use the shower. If you’re expecting dolce vita, do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

The location right in the city center made this a great choice, and I was happy with the B&B I booked through Booking. Breakfast was a good start to the day, and they cleaned every day. ARD supermarket is close by if you need to pick up a few things. Just be aware there are stairs, since the rooms are on the fourth floor.

Darwin was so kind and helpful, and really went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. We also loved the rooftop terrace and the convenient location. I'd happily stay here again. Thanks so much, Darwin!
