I was there for one night on a work trip and came away very satisfied. Casa Gioiosa may not look impressive from outside, but inside the rooms, bathrooms, and shared areas are lovely. The owner welcomed us, showed us around, and explained the amenities. Every room has a balcony, which matters a lot to me, and everything was impeccably clean and well kept, furnishings included. Each room has its own spacious bathroom with a large shower, and the air conditioning was much appreciated. If you need somewhere for a few days, I’d recommend getting in touch with Cinzia and staying at her Casa Gioiosa.

The property is on the fifth floor, with an elevator, and our spotless, thoughtfully furnished room had its own bathroom, air conditioning, and TV. There was also a little sitting space on a covered terrace, which was perfect. Guests can use a fully equipped kitchenette, and the city center is just a short walk away. If you're coming by plane, the train from Punta Raisi to Palermo is handy and stops at "Palazzo d'Orléans".

The location may seem a little far out if you don't know Palermo, but the train station is actually within walking distance. We found the stay good value, with a peaceful apartment, a clean, pleasant room and bathroom, and an owner who was very friendly and helpful.

The room and bathroom were both bright and spotless. Mrs. Cinzia was so kind, always around if needed, and full of suggestions for things to do and places to go. I liked it enough to come back two years in a row!
