The bathroom was private, but it was outside the room and too far away. That was the one flaw. The room itself was spacious, clean, and air-conditioned. The owner was welcoming and kind, and we had long chats. He shared lots of interesting things about Palermo and recommended what and where to eat, what to see, and how to get around. When we return, we’ll definitely stay here again.

The other places we booked understood what happened and refunded us, even though those bookings also had no free cancellation. Dimora Principe Scordia was the only one that refused. After easyJet canceled our flights to Palermo on August 14th, we contacted the properties that same day, first through booking support and then by speaking to the owners by phone. We were really sorry to lose our holiday on this beautiful island, and the financial hit would have been considerable if the other hoteliers hadn't understood that this wasn't something we intended. We'll be back in Sicily, but we'll stay somewhere else. I'd look elsewhere too. People this unsympathetic may find other small ways to squeeze a few extra euros out of you.

The room was roomy and spotless, with fresh linens and a private bathroom outside the room. Breakfast included homemade cakes, and Wi-Fi was free. The welcome felt warm and family-like. It's just a few steps from the Politeama Theater and Palermo's port. Recommended 👍
