I had a really pleasant week at this accommodation while visiting Palermo from Germany. Corso Calatafimi is a long street that runs straight to the old town and its main sights, including the cathedral. You can walk there in about 15-20 minutes. Giuseppe and Federica are lovely, friendly owners who put a lot of effort into making guests feel at home. Since this was my first visit to Sicily, I especially enjoyed chatting with them every day. It felt like staying with friends or family, not in an anonymous hotel. If you’re after an authentic experience and a chance to meet real Sicilians, this place is a good choice. Giuseppe and Federica showed genuine Sicilian warmth and hospitality. Thanks to them for a great time in Palermo. They’ve become friends, and I’d be happy to return.

Giuseppe was incredibly kind, even offering to drive me wherever I needed to go and collect me afterward. Because there was a problem with my reservation, I can't really judge the room I originally booked. Frederica got in touch as soon as I arrived, and while I still don't know exactly what went wrong, Giuseppe took me to another place. That accommodation was a little out from the center, but had a lovely view, easy transport links, a pool, and plenty of room. The original location is very central, as I'd seen in reviews and noticed on my walk from the station, so it makes a great base for the main sights. The host's help made the whole stay a five-star experience for me. I'd definitely recommend it.

The location is good, and the building itself is nice, but the place needs maintenance and a remodel. The staff are friendly, though. The bathroom was in especially rough shape: the shower barely worked and the room really needed attention. Even the pillows looked dirty. I wouldn't recommend staying here, it just wasn't worth it.

I stayed at BBX in September 2022 and found the apartment clean and really nice. It's well located, too, and the landlords were kind and helpful. I'd definitely recommend it.
