I hope the hotel can treat future guests in a difficult situation with more compassion. I booked two rooms through Booking.com at a non-refundable rate, then had to cancel the whole trip after I was diagnosed with cancer and needed an operation. I spoke with the owner, Angela, who said she would try to resell the rooms instead of simply keeping the full payment, and I appreciated that offer then. One room was resold, but commission was deducted, so I didn't get the full credit. The other room didn't sell. After drawn-out, painful exchanges with the team while I was undergoing cancer treatment, I chose to pay the hundreds of euros owed and end the stress. I know non-refundable bookings come with risks, and accept my responsibility for choosing those terms. Still, dealing with all that back-and-forth at such a vulnerable time made an already devastating situation significantly harder. I'm writing this in the hope that the next person facing a hard time is met with a little more kindness, not out of bitterness.

The property is lush and green, with a heated pool, and the beach is a 10-minute walk away. We loved the private hot tub on the patio and the carefully chosen minibar. Our room was spacious, spotless, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We ate at Domia Boutique Hotel on all three nights, sampling the meat and fish tasting menus with wine pairings as well as à la carte dishes. Every plate was exquisite, and breakfast was just as outstanding as dinner. The staff were attentive and so kind that we felt cared for throughout. This is one of the best places we've ever stayed, and we can't recommend it highly enough.

The beauty starts as soon as you pass through the gate, from the rooms to the staff. Everyone brings warmth, professionalism, and a real willingness to accommodate you.

Free parking is available on the residential streets nearby, though there isn't a dedicated lot. We were two blocks from Mondello Beach, and the staff at reception and breakfast were friendly and keen to help. Our deluxe room had a private terrace and jacuzzi, which made it easy to unwind. The room was a little small, and a few chairs or other places to sit would have helped.
