The apartment itself was old, poorly equipped with basic utensils, and loud at night because parties took place every Friday and Saturday. Enrico also kept asking me to let people come by, which made my stay disruptive and inconvenient. The bigger problem came at checkout. We had signed a rental agreement, and he had taken a €600 deposit, saying he’d return it after inspecting the place. I paid the first month through Airbnb and the rest directly in cash. Near the end, Enrico kept canceling our meetings to hand back the deposit, then proposed doing the inspection online. I asked to meet in person since I’d paid cash and didn’t have a European bank account. On my last day he finally showed up at 2:35 PM, only 25 minutes before my 3:00 PM bus. He gave me €450 instead of the full deposit, claiming I still owed him €150. I showed him the Airbnb receipt and records of every cash payment, but he kept acting as though I’d made a mistake. Enrico was rude, disrespectful, and dishonest through the whole process. I rented the apartment for four months, and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. I wouldn’t recommend renting from him.
