Great stay in Mondello Beach

Angelo and Dorotea were wonderful hosts, attentive and helpful, and we felt right at home. Their villa is spacious, tastefully furnished, spotless, and has every comfort, with a garden and patio in a quiet area not far from the sea. Both upstairs bedrooms have balconies, and the ceiling fan in one and air conditioning in the other worked perfectly. We slept wonderfully. Coming back from the beach and using the courtyard’s outdoor shower was fantastic and refreshing. Everything was perfect, thank you so much.

Angelo and Dorotea made us feel at home during our four days in Mondello. The apartment was exactly as described, fully equipped, very clean, and all the appliances worked. It’s close to the sea, too. Angelo gave us useful advice and even took us out for street food. We’ll be back!

The worst part of the stay was having the upstairs garden debris dumped into the basement we’d rented for August 10 through the morning of August 17. On August 16, the owner’s wife assumed we weren’t there and cleared leaves and weeds down into our space. The airport shuttle we’d been promised also turned out to be Mr. Angelo driving his own car, at 35 euros each way, 70 total, and we weren’t given a proper invoice. Inside, there was no air conditioning, only a poor fan and a dehumidifier that the owner controlled on his own schedule, so I felt I had to use them sparingly. The TV had only three watchable channels, and they blamed the Dutch guests who’d stayed before us. The bathroom sink wouldn’t drain, which spoiled the whole week.
