Jennys place

The host said she’d refund our money within 30 days if we left the next day, after we told her about the room. We followed up several times, but she kept putting us off and has now ghosted us. I can only guess that the delay was deliberate so we wouldn’t review her on Booking.com. The room we got was different from the one for two shown in the Booking.com app. Ours was meant for four, a cramped setup with a double bed and bunk bed. We accepted it at first out of politeness, then realized how awful it was: smelly sheets and a blanket that seemed turned over and reused, a dark room with a tiny window facing a dirty construction area, and a closed washroom that was almost impossible to breathe in. The host was very rude when we spoke to her. The building and surrounding area were filthy too. There’s no lift, which makes going up and down many times really hard, and above all this felt like a dishonest business. Better to stay in another part of Palermo. I’m attaching pictures of what we saw in the app and what we actually got.

Jenny was quick and efficient on WhatsApp, and the entry instructions were simple. The apartment was beautifully furnished, spotless, and very quiet. It’s on the third floor with no lift, so getting luggage up is a schlepp. The area felt a little intimidating after dark. Jenny arranged parking nearby for my motorcycle and was flexible when my plans changed. Highly recommended, thanks.

The place was spotless, like a pharmacy, and the girls cleaned the rooms every day. Jenny found a way to host me at very short notice, and I ended up staying several days. The staff are warm and charming, the location is excellent, and the atmosphere is good. Highly recommend ♥️

We stayed at Jenny’s place for two nights and would choose it first next time we’re in Palermo. The apartment had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, and the location was great. Jenny was cheerful, amazing, and very helpful, with great tips for us.
