Luxury Coa Apartment

We had a terrible experience. The apartment wasn't messy, and yes, it was dirty, just as we found it. Even if it had been messy, what would the problem be as long as we left it clean at checkout, as we always do? We weren't going to leave a negative review, but the way this was handled was so rude and unprofessional that we felt we had to. Other reviews mention poor hygiene, rude communication, and false accusations, and it seems nothing is being done about them. The place doesn't meet hygiene standards and certainly isn't “luxury.” As someone else put it, “the luxury nada de nada.” The same complaints keep coming up in Booking reviews, and nothing changes. The one-star rating is only because zero wasn't an option. On our second-to-last day, the six of us were having lunch and forgot to close the sliding door. A woman suddenly came in and snapped, “YOU NEED TO BE QUIET,” repeating it several times before saying she was the owner, Simona. Soon after, the co-owner messaged us accusing us of “yelling” and saying the apartment was “too dirty and messy.” When we confronted him, he backed off and said maybe six people talking “just sounds loud.” So which is it? Even if we’d forgotten the door and six people could be noisy, Simona should have introduced herself before telling us to be quiet. We didn’t even know who she was. Then came another condescending message: “Hi, Simona called me and said the house is too dirty, that you're making a mess and yelling. We're in an apartment building, there are other guests, so please be quiet and get everything sorted out before your checkout tomorrow. Remember to leave the tourist tax and the keys on the table in the house. Did you understand? There are other guests next door who complained, please.” What does “did you understand” even mean? Who the flip do you think you are? I don’t tolerate that rude tone. Other Booking reviews also mention how rude you both are. We have a saying in Dutch, “als je het wil, kan je het krijgen ook.” It means, “If you want it, you can have it,” or in this case, you brought this on yourselves. Amateurs.
