The central location by the harbor was very good, but our arrival was a real hassle. We’d agreed on a fixed arrival and check-in time days ahead, yet nobody was there when we got in. We had to call the people in charge several times, sit through hold queues, and wait through a complicated process before someone finally arrived. The kitchen was sparsely equipped. There was a nice induction cooktop, but none of the three new pans worked on it, and there were no dish towels. A washing machine was available, though nowhere to hang the laundry. The living room furniture, especially the armchairs, was very old and heavily soiled and urgently needs replacing. There were no hooks or other places to hang things either. The biggest issue was the power going out at least three times a day. Sometimes there was no water either, and each time we had to go into the stairwell to switch the power back on. It was a real nuisance.

The architectural complex is beautiful, and the loft has a gorgeous terrace, but at this price I expected more. Our check-in was scheduled for 3:00 PM, and the apartment still wasn’t clean when we arrived. Even after it had supposedly been cleaned, the sofa, cushions, sofa cover, and terrace were unpleasant, so we had to clean up ourselves. The sofa was the worst part, covered in wine stains and other dirt. We couldn’t use it until we washed the cover and hid the cushions underneath. Some lights didn’t work, including the one in the laundry room, which left a blind spot where we needed a flashlight. We asked Wonderful Italy to replace them. They agreed on a date, then never contacted us. The terrace door is hard to open, and the sofas and lights need replacing. For a loft like this, some of the details aren’t worth what we paid. The fridge is tiny, there’s no freezer, and there are no cleaning products or supplies for the dishwasher or washing machine. YOU HAVE A BEAUTIFUL CITY AND A BEAUTIFUL PLACE. RESPECT IT AND KEEP IT CLEAN!

The loft looks great at first, just like the pictures, and it has two bathrooms. But the rooftop terrace has no shade, and the cushions in the storage room were too dirty to touch. You wouldn’t want to sit on the couch without bringing your own cushion, either. There were obvious traces of previous parties. The rooms are large and hard to cool, even with three air conditioners. The electricity key is attached to the only key for the front door, so you can’t leave the air conditioning on when you go out. The bed sits at the highest point in a room with no windows, and I could only sleep comfortably with a fan. The shower is only suitable for someone under 1.70 m (5'7"), and I wouldn’t consider the loft suitable for children. Wunderful Italy comes across as a big, rather cold and businesslike chain. We had to arrange an exact check-in time the day before, and they insisted we stick to it despite Palermo traffic making that impossible. Luckily, Antonio was more flexible in person.
