The room was pleasant and bright, with a Nespresso machine, though the mattress dipped on one side. It’s a very hands-off setup, with everything digital, so you may not see the host. You can message on WhatsApp if you need something, but I missed having someone around to answer questions about getting around or make me a coffee. I expected something different, maybe because of the name. Breakfast was the bare minimum, and you have to ask if you want a large bath towel.

The room was beautiful and comfortable, and Maison de Famille is in a handy spot near a train station and the main sights. It’s a welcoming, well-kept place where you feel at home right away. Valeria made that especially clear from our first phone call, making me feel welcome in an unfamiliar place and a new city like Palermo. That meant a lot to me. Highly recommended!

If I could give more stars, I would. I picked this lovely B&B for both the night before my wedding and the wedding night. Valeria was incredibly kind and helpful, letting me use the bedroom and living room for the photo shoot. Everything was cared for down to the smallest detail. The bright double room felt welcoming and comfortable, had all the comforts, and offered just the right amount of privacy. I’d recommend it for short or long stays.
