Dante 58

The location is convenient, about a five-minute walk from the center, and the owner was available to answer questions. Each room has its own bathroom. But I found the apartment at Dante 58 disappointing and quite different from the descriptions on various websites. I stayed there with six friends, and it needs a lot of improvement. Security was a serious concern. It's on the raised ground floor, and apart from the reinforced front door, there weren't adequate security systems. One street-facing window even had a hole in the glass, patched with tape, and the shutters were WOOD. Cleanliness was unacceptable. The rooms were dirty, with dust all over the bedheads, floors, bathroom fixtures, and furniture. The linens, which we paid for separately, were dirty or stained, so we had to ask for replacements. There was no parking at the apartment, despite what we were told. The nearby paid lot wasn't affiliated with the property and wouldn't take short-term stays, only monthly passes. We were also asked to pay the tourist tax on-site even though we'd already paid it online. That only came up later. It wouldn't have been a problem if we'd been told in advance. The place has potential, but our stay fell short of what we expected. I'd only recommend it for a large group staying several days, and if they're prepared to deal with the cleaning and parking.

Francesco was attentive and helpful with everything we needed from the start. We stayed as a family for three nights, and the place is centrally located, about a ten-minute walk from the center along a pleasant route. Parking is on the street, but we always found a space, and the hourly rates were very reasonable. The room and services were every bit what you'd expect from a large hotel: plenty of space, a lovely shower, a hairdryer that wasn't wall-mounted, air conditioning, and a mini-fridge. The shared area was nice too, with a bigger fridge and a coffee maker. Palermo has stayed in our hearts. We'll definitely return, and we'll choose this property again.

My room was roomy and had everything I needed, and the whole B&B was quiet, clean, and clearly well looked after. The owner was warm and helpful throughout. It’s in a perfect spot, too. I’d recommend it as a comfortable, welcoming place to stay.

We were able to leave our bags when we arrived, and the owner kindly organized a taxi to the airport for us. The apartment is right in the city center, and he was very helpful.
