Sunshine Hostel

I was comfortable sharing a room with friends, and it was nice of them to take our group of seven. There aren’t curtains around the beds, though, which might bother some people, and there isn’t much decoration outside the office. The ladies were kind and welcoming, the bathrooms were clean and had soap, and the staff gave us recommendations along with a handy list of places to visit. I had a great time for our one night there. Bless.

I booked this hotel for two nights, but when I arrived it was closed and nobody was there. No one answered the phone, and ringing the doorbell didn’t help either. I can’t recommend it.

I travelled alone as a woman and was put in a women only room without having to ask. The stay was great, and I don’t understand the low rating. It’s inexpensive, volunteers clean daily, the room is spacious, and there’s air conditioning or ventilation. The bed is comfortable, there are lockers, and the tiny kitchen is equipped. I’d book again!

The bed was dirty and full of bacteria and insects, and I ended up with an arm swollen from their bites. Other people I spoke to at the hostel complained about the same thing. I had a very bad experience and wouldn’t recommend staying here. Pay an extra 10-20€ and save your time and health. I hope they improve things in the future.
