Maximum Suite&Spa

The room smelled bad and didn’t look like it had been cleaned. There were marks in the toilet and stains on the sheets. These people took €280 from me, promised a refund for six weeks, and now won’t reply. Don’t let this happen to you. Very unprofessional, avoid this place.

The hot tub water was freezing when my girlfriend and I tried to use it at 10:00 PM. We’d checked in that afternoon, walked around the city, and come back around 8:00 PM before eating. The technician said the boiler had broken, and at 11:00 PM they called to say we’d need to wait 1:30 hours. I did, but even at 1:30 AM there was still no hot water. Breakfast the next morning was poor, awful even. The “Technician” asked how it had gone, and I told him honestly that we hadn’t been able to use the advertised services and that they hadn’t helped fix the issue. He got upset, yelled at me, and told me to check out at 10. I said we were already ready to leave at 9:45, and that they would call me in the afternoon to find a solution. As expected, no one called. They failed to resolve the problem, then acted as if they were right and did nothing to make things right for us. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

The night before our stay, they called to say the suite we’d reserved was no longer available, and they showed no interest in sorting it out. The alternative was half the size, missing amenities we were entitled to, and still the same price. I was arrogantly told I could cancel if I didn’t like it. They even asked, “Are you even complaining?” and said they’d rather speak to my boyfriend than me, after I pointed out that finding a fair solution was in their interest too. They also quoted me more than the price on Booking.com. A terrible experience. They should change the way they speak to customers, and the reviews speak for themselves.

It was cold in the room because the air conditioning was broken, and there weren’t even blankets to help. We spent an uncomfortable night. There was no Wi-Fi either, so we couldn’t watch Netflix or YouTube as we’d planned, which seems unacceptable for somewhere presented as a suite. Customer service was slow, unhelpful, and ineffective when we reported the problems. I had high hopes for the stay, but it was a very disappointing experience. I wouldn’t recommend the property and won’t return.
