The worst issue was the bathroom door. It's a sliding door that disappears into the wall, and it wouldn't open, leaving me stuck inside. My partner had to get me out from the other side using makeshift means. If I'd been alone without a phone, or had felt unwell given my claustrophobia, this could have had serious consequences. When I reported it, I was told that "these things happen," which I find unacceptable in accommodation for paying guests. The apartment had many other problems. Several outlet plates were loose, part of the parquet was missing, and the exposed floor was dirty with obvious encrustations, probably mold. It seemed they'd tried to hide the mess under the bed, but moving it just a few centimeters made it visible. The pillows were extremely thin and visibly worn. When I raised that, I was told to fetch replacements from other apartments using keys left on the noticeboard. That was makeshift and impractical, especially if those rooms were occupied. The TV was so old it wasn't a smart TV, making it essentially unusable. I had to bring my own Fire Stick to access basic services like Netflix. I wasn't asking for much or expecting to use a Netflix account or the other things the property offers, just to be able to connect our accounts and watch some TV in the evening. The cleaning was also far below an acceptable standard for a vacation rental. Used coffee capsules had been left behind, the kettle and pot lids were dirty and encrusted, the toilet brush was broken and dirty, and an extra bathrobe in the closet, I presume, was stained with bleach. The apartment looked immaculately clean when we entered, yet was clearly neglected. This is part 1 of the review because of the character limit. Unfortunately, our stay fell far short of an acceptable standard.

At 3 PM I found the gate locked, and nobody ever answered my calls or email. Even Booking.com customer service, where I made the booking, couldn't get in touch with the property. It caused a lot of inconvenience, and I had to find somewhere else to stay.
