The deluxe suite was our best stay in Sicily so far. It had a spacious room with a high ceiling, a huge king-size bed, and a jacuzzi that was great for two. There was even a bottle of prosecco at check-in. The room smelled nice and had cleaning service, and there was a coffee machine in the lobby.

The health symptoms started after we’d been in the room for a while: sore throats, coughing, and even a slight fever. We found black mold behind the radiator. When we contacted the property manager right away, she said the cleaning lady would deal with it in the morning instead of helping immediately, even though it could have been a serious hazard. The conversation went back and forth, then she insulted and antagonized us, saying we were just trying to get a refund. That was completely unacceptable. I’d never recommend this place.

The room was very clean, and check-in was friendly and efficient. It’s in a good spot, though not especially close to the center. The room felt a little dark, and there was an annoying noise from the garden, probably a boiler, even at night. Still, it’s very convenient and I’d recommend it.

The room and bathroom were nice, and having a coffee maker available whenever we wanted was a real plus. The part I’d change was the daily knock at 10 am for cleaning. When you’re on holiday, you want to sleep in and take it easy.
