The guide was fantastic, explaining both the architecture and the story of the family who owns the building. It had been closed for a long time, and I visited after it reopened to the public, before bookings started this year. The building is now a luxurious hotel. One thing I didn’t like was the staff. A lady at reception was very rude, complaining that people weren’t “compact” while working, and she was screaming as she said it. Definitely not the best experience for a “luxurious” hotel when guests are arriving.

Palermo is a beautiful city, with friendly people and lots of fresh fruit stands to keep you hydrated and happy while touring around. The area is lovely for walking, with plenty to see.

The staff made this stay for me. Everyone was so friendly and ready to help, and they created a really welcoming, comfortable atmosphere. The hotel itself is cozy, with good local restaurants nearby. I'd book again if I visit Palermo, especially because of the lovely employees.
