Villa Mondello

I spent 10 days in this lovely apartment, close to everything. Georgio was a lovely host.

Giorgio was friendly and helpful, and the location is central in Mondello. But at least in the room I had, a lot needs updating. The toilet seat was broken, the shower stall wouldn’t stay closed, and the showerhead had to be held by hand. The old sink had no counter space. The room refrigerator was noisy and gets turned off when it isn’t in use. At €100 a night, this room felt overpriced for how poorly it worked and how unclean it was.

We arrived in Mondello late in the evening on our motorcycle, after getting off the ship in Palermo, and hadn’t booked anywhere. Giorgio welcomed us to his B&B and offered us the ground-floor garden room. He even let us park the motorcycle there instead of leaving it on the street. The room was beautiful and comfortable, with AC, a private bathroom and shower, a ceiling fan, a coffee machine with pods and cups, a minibar stocked with water, towels, and toiletries. It was close to the center, the seafront promenade, restaurants, and other amenities. Giorgio is truly one of a kind, kind and incredibly helpful. He treated us like family and let us stay in the room until late, even though our ship home wasn’t leaving until very late that evening. Such a warm welcome. Thank you again, Giorgio!

A terrible stay. Cockroaches everywhere, plaster coming off the walls, and a crumbled pillow. The toilet seat was oversized, the sink was broken, and the shower stall wouldn’t stay shut. If you pushed it too hard, it opened and water spilled out.
