La Meridienne

My father spent a month in this supposed nursing home, and it left my family and me with disgust, anger, and sorrow. His clothes went missing, his dentures were replaced with someone else's, and unexplained bruises appeared on his face. We were completely barred from visiting the sleeping area. The place was chaotic and disordered. In those circumstances, how can we know whether his daily therapies or medical instructions were followed? Excuses and useless explanations won't be enough. Anyone unable to run a facility for elderly people with professionalism and respect must be stopped immediately. I'd warn anyone thinking of visiting or placing someone here if I could. One star is too many. 8 8

I brought my grandmother to the facility on October 18th. Even though she was there only a short time, it became like a second home to me. Grandma was on the second floor with the legendary Giuseppe, Cinzia, and Sister Teresa. They called every day to ask how Grandma was doing. When she passed away, they cried with me, and their empathy really moved me. They love their work, and their tears showed it. I'll never stop thanking them. I took my mother to La Meridien for August and found serious problems with her care. Her bedsores weren't treated, and when I visited, she had on someone else's clothes and was using someone else's wheelchair. Her glasses were missing. After she came home, I found scratches and a lump on her back, and no one explained them.

The facility was terrible. They don't let visitors into the rooms, so visits have to happen in the lobby or outside. There are too few nurses for the number of residents, and they can't keep up with everyone. There have also been several thefts of personal belongings, which is unacceptable.
