The rooms are clean and modern, and there’s indoor bike storage. It’s peaceful at the foot of the pass, with good food and really good value.

The Sunday lunch was delicious, with fresh seasonal dishes and local specialties. The antipasti stood out: pumpkin soufflé, herb and nut strudel, pumpkin with honey, raisins and pine nuts, plus cured venison and pork belly. Even with the restaurant full, the owner took time to translate and explain the menu. Simple food, but full of flavor. We had a lovely time at da Otto and will definitely return.

The rooms are basic but clean, and the food is traditional and regional. If you haven’t tried Frico, you should. The “Krapfen” were among the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommended if you enjoy trying something a little different.

The place looks even prettier in person than it does in the photos. Everyone was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and it’s a lovely peaceful spot for a relaxing weekend.
