B&B Culla Dell'Aquila

The location was a big plus for me: the B&B is within walking distance of the historic city and Lidl supermarket. It was also easy enough to find, despite other reviews saying otherwise. Look for it above a small Samsung shop, and use the coordinates to make finding it easier. I called the owners a few hours before check-in, outside booking.com, and they sent the address over WhatsApp. I’d suggest booking directly, since the owners keep all the money that way. I stayed at B&B Culla dell’Aquila during the pandemic in low season, so I had the place to myself. Even as the only guest, I got a very warm welcome and lots of attention from the owners. One of them spoke English without any trouble, which I appreciated. It’s a warm, basic modern suburban Italian B&B, with clean sheets and towels, good lighting, a clean shared bathroom, free coffee, and a very sugary breakfast. I’m giving it five stars for the welcome and the location. 100% recommended for a visit to L’Aquila!

The location is handy, very close to the Pasquali military barracks, and the value for money is excellent. Inside, the rooms were spotless and had plenty of comforts: a good bed, TV, heating and air conditioning, plus a bathroom with a hairdryer. There’s also a table and chairs for breakfast or lunch, and a kitchenette with a full kitchen available in the room. The owner was exceptionally kind and helpful. A very welcoming B&B, and I’ll definitely come back soon.
