Hotel Lisca Bianca

Angela and Antonio made us feel cared for throughout our stay, with warmth and attention to detail. Angela's love for Lisca Bianca and for the island came through, and her hospitality made the place feel like family. We stayed at this beautiful hotel on Panarea and loved its calm setting near the Port, with lovely sea and island views. It was close to town, beaches, restaurants, and picturesque streets, but still felt peaceful. The rooms were spacious, clean, thoughtfully decorated with local touches, and had comfortable furnishings and soft linens. Waking up to the sea view was a dream. Breakfast was fresh, varied, and delicious, with pastries, fruit, cheeses, and eggs made to order. The breakfast area was peaceful and inviting, with a view of the sparkling water. We also loved aperitivo time. Angela created a welcoming place to relax after a day out, with cocktails, tasty bites, soft lighting, and beautiful views. It was a lovely way to spend the evening. I can't recommend Lisca Bianca enough and hope to return.

While we were out during the day, an extremely valuable ring and a pair of AirPod pros disappeared from our room. It had been locked, and the ring had been left in a particular spot. When we came back, it was gone from there. The owner said it must have fallen down the bidet or sink, which it hadn't. I reported both items to the front desk, but the owner refused to start any internal investigation. She suggested my friends might have taken the ring, then said it wasn't valuable, and threatened criminal proceedings for defamation and slander when I suggested it had been stolen. She also confirmed that her whole staff could access the room. This was an unsafe hotel experience, made worse by the appalling customer service. The room was very basic despite costing €300 a night. I expect the reply to this review will say staff could not possibly have taken the items, that we lost them through carelessness, and that we should have used the safe. Strangely, I could see the AirPods moving around the aeloian islands on FindMy. Perhaps they were in the sewage system. Go figure.

The rooms were clean and nicely decorated, and the sea view was fantastic. The hotel is an easy walk from the port where the ferry drops you. Martin, who met us, was friendly and helpful. Check-in was unpleasant, though, because the woman handling it was rude and quite scary. Reception shuts during the day, which felt unusual, then opens as a bar at 6pm. You can't just sit and relax there without ordering a drink, so customer service felt limited. It was basically a room and little else. There are no shower curtains, so expect water all over the tiled bathroom floor after showering, though the tiles are easy to clean.

We were here in 2022 for part of our honeymoon, and the whole Lisca Bianca team was fantastic. Francesco looked after us from the port all the way to our room, and Angela helped organize everything. Most of all, Manuele from Bar Lisca Bianca was a gentleman who cared for us, introducing us to fresh fish and new foods day and night. The terrace is stunning, and the whole hotel is picturesque. To me, this really is a five-star hotel, and it made our time in Panarea so much better. Definitely stay here and enjoy it. Love, Julia and Joseph.
