The views are lovely, parking is convenient, and the Wi-Fi worked well. The house was welcoming and practical, with what we needed, and the pool was beautiful and well maintained. The owners were kind, helpful and hospitable. They have a vegetable garden and fruit trees, and shared its produce with guests. There are also rabbits, birds, ponies, chickens, roosters, kittens, puppies and sheep. It's a handy base for visiting Umbria and Tuscany, or catching the train to Lazio.

Panicale is close enough to reach on foot, and we loved the town. We stayed five days and wished we could have stayed longer. Roelof, Mrs. Mirella and her husband were warm, helpful hosts who shared herbs, vegetables and fruit from their garden. On our last day, Mrs. Mirella made us a delicious dinner, and we felt like part of the family. We spoke English with Roelof and used an online app to communicate in Italian with Mrs. Mirella and her husband. It worked perfectly. The pool beside the house was for our use alone and had a beautiful view. Kids and adults both had a great time playing in it and cooling off on hot days. The house was clean and had all the kitchenware we needed. We'd happily recommend the place and hope to come back.

The owners and their daughters made us feel right at home at this lovely agriturismo. Its location is excellent, with a breathtaking view. Whether you're after a quiet break in the hills or a base close to Lake Trasimeno, it works beautifully. Highly recommended.

We used to own a house just outside Panicale, and ever since selling it, we've kept coming back for the medieval village, the Umbrian countryside and friends we try to see at least once a year. We usually just look for somewhere simple to sleep, as we've stayed at several local agriturismos over the years. La Piaggiola degli Olivi surprised us: it's surrounded by greenery and has all the comforts we could need, especially the fantastic pool. More than that, we felt we'd found a family. Duillio, Mirella and their daughters are wonderful, welcoming and affectionate, and always ready to help. A dream place, highly recommended. We can't wait to return.
