Residenza delle Palme

A fabulous property with ocean views and lovely grounds. The landscape rivals Armani property. It’s close to town and wine tasting, and perfect in Summer. An exceptional residenze.

Beautifully decorated, with a great Landlord and a great spot on the island. If you need a rental for several days or even several months, this is the place.

The cats made the stay feel almost magical, especially as the wind and sunsets came around. They’re quiet and a little mysterious, and some have even been adopted. Thanks to the guests who feed them and leave treats for them. We stayed in a small dammuso and had everything we needed, with comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces. It was all spotless, and the pools were a real help when the weather or wind picked up. The layout of the dammusi, stone walls, white curtains, lights and little paths between the buildings have all been thought through beautifully. There’s plenty of privacy and such a calm feeling that you find yourself speaking softly and listening to the island. A big thank you to Salvatore and his mother for looking after the place and its much-loved feline guests. The owners clearly have a great eye for detail. We hope the next guests enjoy their stay as much as we did.

We’ll be back. Residenza delle Palme is a peaceful place with a sea view, about a five-minute scooter ride from the center of Pantelleria, and the owners are kind, helpful and discreet. They’re good people to ask for tips on places to see or dinner spots. I stayed in one of the smaller damusi. It had a bedroom with a fridge and freezer, a shower bathroom, and an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue, gas stove and sink. There was air conditioning, plus plates and cutlery. The damuso faced the pool, which all guests can use.
