The views, garden and pool are stunning, and I really enjoyed how peaceful and quiet the location was. It wasn’t easy to find, tucked up a mountain, and the accommodation was clean but a bit run down.

This is a private residence with some apartments for holiday stays, not a village. It’s quite far from the town center, so you need a car, and each trip to Tropea takes about 15 minutes by car. There’s a lovely panorama of Tropea, a large pool and plenty of greenery. The price and quality are well balanced.

It’s a great complex, kept clean and quiet, with a superb pool and the best views of Tropea. It’s a little away from the main area, but that brings peace and quiet along with those amazing views.

You’ll need a car here, it’s a must. We stayed in the apartment with four people and it worked fine, and we were surprised by how comfortable the sofa bed was. The owners and local agents were kind and very helpful. If you’re visiting Calabria around Tropea, I’d strongly recommend Marasusa for its good standard, swimming pool and wonderful views across Tropea and the sea.
