The beach is stunning, with crystal-clear water, and it was one of the nicest I’ve ever visited. There are over 200 steps down, but it’s quite manageable. We stayed at this family-run place and loved how much care the people running it put into making guests feel welcome. The apartments were clean and well equipped, and the gardens were beautiful. We also enjoyed the good food and drinks at the cafe across the road. This small, family-owned pousada suited us for a relaxing sun-filled holiday, whether for a weekend or a longer stay. Parghelia has a few restaurants and markets within walking distance. We came by train and did fine without a car, and you can take a taxi or train into Tropea.

The sea is clean, and its mood seems different every day. The local food, grown under the southern sun, has a taste that’s hard to beat. And then there are the feelings and memories, things no photo or video can capture, but that stay in your heart. Most of all, it’s the people who make this place so happy. When they wish you "buona serata", you can tell they truly mean it. Thank you, Maria Teresa and your family, for such a happy time. Next time, we’ll sing "Rosetta e Cafe" together.

A perfect spot to relax, with an amazing pool and bar! The apartments are a good size, with a garden, BBQ, and outdoor area, and they’re right by one of the best beaches in Tropea. The family running the rooms and bars are great.

We loved the peaceful feel of Pousada Michelino, with a lovely garden for kids and a spacious living room in our clean apartment. It had great views on both sides and two large terraces. The host was nice, and the location is handy for the perfect beach, train station, and Parghelia, with its cafeteria, ice cream, and shop. Tropea is also within walking distance. Our one regret was visiting in May, when the bar was still closed and we couldn’t use it. We loved the area around Parghelia in Calabria, our first time there, and plan to return :)
