B&B Casa della Musica

We needed somewhere to stay for 15 days, and Casa della Musica B & B was comfortable, clean, and very warm throughout. Getting settled there was easy, and the central location was tops, with convenient access to the Train Stattion, restaurants, and shops. The service impressed us from the moment we called to book, and Claudio provided so much useful information. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The price was very reasonable too. We’ve already recommended Casa Della Musica to friends and family in Italy and abroad, and we’ll definitely stay again. You won’t be sorry! Mr. Claudio was kind and very helpful, a true host. The house itself is charming, spread over several levels, and roomy enough for families. It’s an easy walk to the city center, and it has all the comforts with lots of attention to detail. If we come back to Parma, we’ll stay here again. Thanks for everything. Rita and Mario

The layout is what makes this place so memorable. There’s a glass-enclosed courtyard below the upper balcony, with a passage leading to the first bedroom, plus a kitchen and dining table by the entrance. Upstairs, the staircases connect a sofa bed and wardrobe, a small balcony, and a skylit bathroom under the roof. The ground-floor bedroom has a TV tucked beneath the stairs, though its very soft sofa bed mattress wasn’t comfortable. Some of the design choices are charming but a little awkward to use. I’ve never taken my family somewhere quite like it. The owners were lovely and ready to help, and we had a brilliant stay. Highly recommended.

That first impression was nice, but there were quite a few problems. The mattresses were uncomfortable, and the bathroom had no window or ventilation and smelled strongly of drains. Breakfast at the café next door was outrageously priced, and my little girl’s juice wasn’t included. The pastry shop was a bit better, though the staff weren’t very friendly.
