I spent a couple of days in Parma and chose “La casa del vino”. The owner was friendly and available whenever help was needed, and the services were good for the price. It's right in the city centre, super central, and I'd happily stay there again if I return to Parma.

I booked through booking.com for an exhibition and had no complaints. It's a quiet little apartment, with a room (grape) on each level. Complimentary local lambrusco was a sweet touch. You can walk to everywhere in at most 15 minutes.

The room had a lovely grape fragrance and was really cute, with thoughtful design and decor in an old building. Getting in with the codes was easy, though make sure to check in while you still have internet so you can get them in time. For some reason we were moved from Sauvignon room on the 3rd floor to Cabernet room (?) on the 2nd, and I appreciated that because the stairs are narrow and I had a 28kg suitcase. I knew before booking that the stairs were steep and there was no elevator. I wish every room I booked were like this one!
