A lovely spot, with modern, clean rooms and a really friendly welcome.

The apartment was on the top floor, with two bedrooms, a roomy living area, and a kitchen that had everything, even a dishwasher. There was also a crib for our 5-month-old son. The building has been carefully renovated while keeping its history in mind. Shared access to the washing machine, iron, brooms, and vacuum cleaners was handy too. Annamaria greeted us right away and walked us through the parking and available services. Alessandra and Giovanni were so kind and welcoming. We enjoyed relaxing and taking easy walks with the stroller in the fresh, clear air. We were sorry we couldn't use the shared living room to meet the other guests because of Covid-19. Highly recommended!

The kitchen seemed recently redone and was fairly well equipped, with an induction stove, dishwasher, and a decent-sized fridge. But you can only run one appliance at a time. The furnishings were okay, though the closets smelled moldy and could use some attention. Getting there was the frustrating part. The website, online offer, payment, and check-in were all handled precisely. Payment was required in full 60 days before arrival or the deposit would be lost. That was in the conditions, so I accept that I missed it, and it was the first time I’d encountered that requirement. Once we arrived, though, the same care seemed to disappear. It's a beautiful farmhouse, but the renovation felt like it had only been done to keep taking passing tourists. The bathrooms were small, cramped, old, and badly in need of a full renovation. The showers had leaky curtains and drains, many wooden windows inside and out were hard to close, and the basic electrical wiring and cleaning both fell short. Stained carpets and rugs were still there, and it was hard to know when they’d last been washed. I saw the owners for about three minutes when we arrived, just long enough to unload my bags, and never again. An elderly local woman was left to manage things; she was kind, but couldn't always answer our questions. The hallway sensor lights kept switching on by themselves at night, as if helicopters were landing, which made sleeping difficult. The terrace was the worst of it. A deckchair split the first time I sat on it, and the table was so rusted it had eaten through the plastic tablecloth. It was ugly and could be dangerous. It would take little time or money to replace it if someone cared about the house and guests. It seems absurd to leave such things for guests to use, and the terrace clearly hadn't been used in that condition.

We had a terrible family holiday here. It felt unprofessional and poor value for money. The kitchenette was the one bright spot, probably newly fitted, with a four-burner induction hob and dishwasher. The fridge and other appliances were only just adequate, and the power would trip if we used two appliances together, though it reset automatically. So no hob and dishwasher at the same time, or hair dryer and hob. We never met the owners. They left the keys with a local woman, who had to deal with things. The remaining balance was due two months ahead of the stay. For two weeks, we got only one change of linens on arrival. The bathrooms were in awful shape, including the plumbing, electricals, and sanitation. Some windows had no blinds, the fixtures were flimsy, and some windows had curtains that might filter the light, but who knows when they were last washed. The rooms weren't clean enough when we arrived. The carpet looked like it dated from the last renovation, with rugs laid on top in the shared areas and apartments. I'll leave some photos, though they can't really capture the impression. Lighting and wide-angle lenses can do wonders.

The building is old, and although it has been renovated and was clean, it felt damp. All the rooms open off a central corridor. For what it costs, it didn't feel like good value. A few small fixes would help, like putting in a shower stall instead of a curtain.
