The rooms are simple, but comfortable, and the price is great for what you get. It’s an old-fashioned BnB with friendly staff, close to both the town and the lake shore. We could leave our bikes in safe parking.

Andrea even tracked me down at the station after finding the AirPods I’d left behind while cleaning my room. That was so kind, and a huge help. The hosts were warm and welcoming throughout. I was in town for a friend’s wedding, and this was an affordable place to stay. They arranged an early check-in for me and lent me an iron for my shirt. Breakfast was nice, especially the fantastic homemade cake with marmalade and walnuts. They warned me about train noise, but it didn’t wake me. A great spot for a couple of nights in the area, and I’d recommend it.

The house has an interesting history, and the plant-filled inner courtyard is lovely to look at. It could use an interior renovation, though, which would add a lot to the property. The hosts are kind and helpful. The location may seem a little off-putting at first, but the city center is a 15-minute walk away. Breakfast is decent, and private parking is a real plus if you’re driving.
