Hotel delle Alpi

We’d certainly stay here again. Our table was allocated to us for the whole week, and the restaurant was pleasant. Staff were friendly and attentive enough, and we managed the language barrier with our group’s limited Italian and their English. The bar staff were lovely, and live music was a nice touch. The pool needs to be booked daily, while the spa facilities for over-16s are amazing. Down in the basement, the boot room has lift access outside, though the lift can get busy at peak times. The heated boot racks meant dry boots each morning. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of slopes and shops, about a 15-minute walk in gear from the main ski lifts. The free bus stops at the hotel, but its timing didn’t work for our 9 AM lessons, so we walked each morning.

The spa had two saunas and a pool that extended outside, and the amenities were quite decent. You have to book a one-hour slot in advance. The restaurant food was fairly tasty, with a wide wine selection, though some portions were small. Waitressing was very good and pleasant, unlike reception. The younger woman there was friendly, but the older one wasn’t. The hotel is very close to the ski lift, which made getting out quickly easy. Our family holiday was let down by the room: it had a tiny shower, one window and no balcony, small beds, poor airflow and ventilation, and bad WiFi. Compared with other rooms we saw, ours looked like a basement, so I’d make sure which room you’re getting. Parking spots were extremely tight and hard to maneuver in.

We’ve stayed here four years in a row, most recently from 31/1/26-7/2/26, and they’ve never let us down. Staff throughout the hotel were kind, friendly, helpful, and attentive. Our room had plenty of space, a brilliant shower, and lots of storage, including hangers and plenty of pegs for ski jackets and dressing gowns. It was cleaned to a high standard every morning. On the towel question, if you leave them on the bathroom floor, they exchange them for fresh ones. Breakfast had an amazing range of options, and dinner included standard dishes, three-course daily specials with at least three choices per course, and an outstanding self-service antipasti selection. Twice during the week we had a traditional four-course Lombardy or Trentino menu, with a simpler option for the kids. We wanted for nothing. The chefs and floor staff clearly take pride in the food and work extremely hard, and the service staff were attentive. The spa was a real treat. We loved gazing at the mountains from the massive hot tub and outdoor pool. Having snow fall on our heads while swimming in the heated outdoor pool was a highlight. They’ve turned up the heat a notch too. The sauna and steam room area, for over-16s only, was a tranquil place to unwind. We’ll definitely book again next year.
