We only stayed one night before continuing south, and I wish we’d booked longer. The house is set among gorgeous countryside, with such a peaceful feel and a view out front that honestly looks like heaven. The rooms were really comfortable, and the facilities were great. Mr Iov and Ms Laura welcomed us so warmly, they made the place feel like home. They were also happy to suggest things to see and help us book a nearby restaurant, which was surprisingly good for such a rural area. If you want a proper countryside stay, this is the place. Italy keeps getting better with every stop.

We had a lovely time here and would happily return. The rooms feel modern and were clean, the pool was great, and breakfast was nice too. The hosts were friendly and ready to help. There are some beautiful villages nearby, and the coast is easy enough to reach for a day out.

The pool was a great place to cool off in the heat, and it was large, with a lovely view of Pastena from the sunbeds. We stopped here on the way to Ninfa and were pleasantly surprised by the stay. The owners followed the COVID protocols carefully, which helped us feel safe. They also sent us to a local family restaurant with good value for money. When I asked about all the locals carrying sticks on their morning walks, they gave me a snake poking stick for mine. I’d come back if I’m in the area again.

Pastena was quiet, and the place was clean and comfortable. What really made the stay memorable, though, were the amazing hosts. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for somewhere peaceful.
