The owner is outgoing and very willing to help, whether you need advice about the area or Sicily. Our rooms were cleaned daily around 10:00 am, and the cleaning was excellent. The Sicilian-style breakfast had croissants with cherry and chocolate, plus sweets. The room price also included bottled water in the fridge and some juice for the kids. We drove over from Malta with our two children, ages 2 and 9, and were nervous because we didn't know where the place was. Once there, parking right in front of the main entrance made things easy. We could see both the street and fields, and keep an eye on our car. At night, the two outside doors can be shut with aluminum shutters, making it so quiet you could sleep all day without noticing, especially helpful if you have trouble sleeping. Our room was two floors up and there was no elevator. We only used the stairs in the morning and at night, so it wasn't the problem we'd expected. We drove about 10 minutes to Etnapark, which we visited during the day and at night, and about 30 minutes to Etna. Isola Bella was about an hour and a half away, and worth the visit. The town is very quiet, with a daily market a three-minute walk from the hostel that has everything you need at super cheap prices. It's cheap, reliable, and worth the budget. Give it a shot.
