The location and price were both great, and the place stayed warm enough on cold days. The accommodation, service, and amenities are all pretty basic, though. I wouldn’t call it a five-star stay, but one star feels unfair too. They should add a simple curtain to the room door on the left: people walking past to the bathroom can see a lot through the frosted windows. The bathroom door has the same privacy problem.

The owners were kind and accommodating, and I’d definitely come back. I spent two nights in Pavia, and everything was within walking distance from this city-center spot. The rooms are spacious and have their own bathroom and kitchen.

The rooms were clean and the service was good. Just know that the kitchen, bathroom, and toilet are shared with other guests. There’s noise outside, and with no air conditioning it can reach 30°C at night.

It’s in a handy spot in the city center, but the bed wasn’t very comfortable and the place had a musty smell. There was no breakfast, despite being listed as a bed and breakfast. I was surprised to find out when I got the keys that cleaning cost an extra €10.
