We paid 63 euros for one night at Residence Il Cascinetto while stopping on our way from Genua to Germany. The host family was very friendly, and the rooms and equipment were all clean. There was one bedroom with a double bed and a very spacious kitchen, dining, and living area. I’d consider Il Cascinetto a good option for a longer stay in Pavia, such as a business trip. I took off a point because it’s out on the outskirts, where there isn’t much excitement.

The hosts were friendly and helpful, and the accommodation was clean, with all the accessories provided. Excellent value for the money.

We were very happy with our night here. The apartment was spacious, comfortable, private, and secure, with parking. There was air conditioning in every bedroom and in the kitchen, and it was extremely quiet at night. I’d have given it 5 stars if cleanliness had gotten a little more attention. Nothing major, but there were cobwebs on the ceiling and behind the TVs, and the shower tray didn’t drain properly. Owners, you have a beautiful place and it wouldn’t take much to make it perfect! 👍👍

The owner was impeccably kind, and the property itself was spacious and nice, but the breakfast was very limited. The cleanliness and hygiene were far below what we expected. We found cockroaches, dead insects of unknown kind in the bag holding the hair dryer, and a mattress with yellow stains all over it. I can only imagine what caused those stains. There was hair in a drawer I hadn’t even opened, and the shower didn’t meet even a basic standard for cleanliness and hygiene. I’ll leave it there, though there’s more I could say. The staff’s kindness doesn’t make up for these problems. I’ve attached photos to show what I mean. Warm regards!
