Hi everyone, if you’re planning to walk Via Vandelli, don’t book Borgo Relax in Pavullo nel Frignano. My room had bedbugs in the sheets, and I left at 10:30 PM after spotting them. The place was shabby, far from the center, with no TV or air conditioning, no cutlery, a broken shared bathroom, and nobody serving breakfast in the morning. I paid a little more to stay at the LOCANDA, but Borgo Relax didn’t refund me. LA LOCANDA was the best hotel I’ve stayed in in its category, with the friendliest staff I’ve met. Everything there was newly renovated, with air conditioning, electric shutters, a four-star superior bathroom, and incredibly kind staff. Trust me, or go to Borgo Relax and you’ll write the same review I did.

Borgo Relax is a good option for a comfortable stay in Pavullo nel Frignano, including medium or long visits. It’s in a quiet residential complex not far from the center, in a house arranged over two floors. I found the shared bathroom clean every time I used it, and the double bedroom was clean and had all the comforts needed. The living room, with its kitchenette, was a comfortable spot to relax.

I booked a double room for September 2022, but a week before the trip the owner contacted me and said unexpected problems meant I should cancel. I explained that I’d already paid through Booking.com, and was assured I’d be refunded directly. Three months and many reminders later, I’m still waiting for the money. Stay away.

The warm welcome from the hosts really stood out. It’s a peaceful, charming hamlet just outside Pavullo, and the name suits the place.

The rooms had distinctive furnishings but were comfortable, and the shared bathroom was always clean. It’s a very nice place, easy to reach, and reasonably priced. I’d recommend it for a stay longer than one night.
