The setting is lovely, though it feels a little remote. Getting back to the main road means taking a bumpy gravel track for over 3 km. It’s a nice Agriturismo, and Massimo is very helpful. Residents can enjoy a lovely meal on Monday evenings. There’s a great pool, plus pétanque and table tennis. Very relaxing!

We’ve been coming to Il Gattero for five years, and got married there two years ago. We love the family Magnozzi and hold them dear. For a lovely stay in the heart of Tuscany, this is the place.

The wide views from this old house are lovely, and there’s a nice pool and a play area for children. The grounds are spacious, and the internet works very well. But it’s quite isolated: getting there means 15 minutes on a 3 km gravel road. The room furnishings are old, some appliances need replacing, and the bathrooms could use updating. They were clean, though not very appealing, and the plastic plants don’t help. There also wasn’t a proper coffee machine or enough plates and bowls.

Seven years after our first visit, this place still feels magical. The hosts are lovely, and we met some nice people who have been returning for 25 years. Our child had a great time with the play areas, table tennis, pétanque, and, of course, the pool. We’d gladly return and highly recommend this idyllic spot.
