Hotel Fori Imperiali

Alisa and Barbara deserve a special mention. They were amazing, and their service made the stay memorable. The hotel was also perfectly placed for visiting Rome’s sights, and the rooms were excellent.

If you’re visiting the Colosseum or Roman Forum, the location is good. The hotel itself is modern and nice, and the service is friendly, but it was so noisy. There’s no soundproofing at all: I could hear the street, what people in other rooms were watching on TV, and people walking above me. Guests also came back at all hours, making more noise. I was quite disappointed to be put on the first floor despite paying for a six-night stay.

The staff were so kind and helpful, and breakfast was a great way to start the day. I didn’t get time to join the complimentary experience they offer, though I’m sure it’s as good as the rest. Restaurants nearby meant there was no need to look far when we were hungry. It was about a two-minute walk to an incredible view of the Colosseum, and the metro was right there too. I had a perfect, comfortable three-night stay. If I hadn’t wanted to explore so much of the city, I could happily have stayed at the hotel all day. I’d definitely come back and highly recommend it.

The Fori Imperiali is a small boutique hotel at a moderate price, with very clean, nicely appointed rooms and a good breakfast available. The staff are friendly and helpful. It sits on a typical narrow back street, with plenty of restaurants nearby and a three-minute walk to Fori Imperalii road. Cavour and other streets with all kinds of shops are close too. The location works well for the Colosseum, the forums, and the Palatine and Capitoline Hill sights. I recommend it.
