Bed and Breakfast Le Ortensie

We kept thinking about the room and mountain views we missed by arriving late. The room looked brand new, was really clean, and the breakfast was generous and lovely. The woman who helped us was so kind. After we spent the night in the car in the parking lot, she came over at 6 a.m., offered us breakfast, and refused to take any money for the night, even when we insisted. She gave us a big hug, too. We had tried calling around 9:45 p.m. while driving from Zurich, but nobody answered, and the voicemail was only in Italian. When we arrived, we couldn't find anyone and didn't want to wake other guests. In the morning, we had to use Google Translate because the woman on the phone spoke only Italian. We told her we were fine just using the showers and leaving as planned. We were amazed by her generosity, though we regretted for days that we hadn't arrived earlier.
