We felt looked after from the moment we arrived until we left. The farmhouse has furnishings that keep its connection to the past, while still offering modern comforts. It’s well placed for visiting the area, including Perugia, Assisi, Gubbio, Fabriano, and other spots suggested to us there, such as Frasassi and Spello. A memorable stay, and I’d happily come back, perhaps in summer to use the pool.

The pool was a great spot to unwind in the afternoon, and breakfast was superb. I only stayed one night, but that was enough to appreciate how kind and welcoming the staff were. It’s just a short walk from San Martino al Colle and a handy base for exploring Umbria.

The room was nice, with a well-stocked mini-fridge and free water, and breakfast was delicious, especially the cakes made by the lady. There’s a large pool and garden, and the location itself is quiet and good. Dinner is trickier: the only nearby restaurant, 200 meters away, is mediocre, so you have to travel farther for a good meal.

A few kilometers from Perugia’s city center, this lovely place is surrounded by greenery and makes it easy to relax. The breakfasts are generous and excellent, with homemade pastries and jams from the kind and helpful Roberta. Unique furnishings and Mr. Lanfranco, who shares the many secrets of the magnificent view, make the stay feel complete.
