The connection was awful. I got a ping of 16,000 ms, with loads of duplicate packets too. The stats showed 472 sent, 376 received, 53 duplicates, and 20.3% packet loss. Round-trip times ranged from 133.476 ms to 16,029.017 ms, averaging 5,774.721 ms.

The bed was comfortable, even though the room itself was small. We only needed somewhere affordable for one night, and the old-fashioned feel of the hotel didn't bother us. It was a bit like stepping into another time, and the dining room had charm. Breakfast was fair.

The location is a long way from the center, which would've been okay on its own, but the other issues add up. The restaurant was closed during our visit, breakfast was just the bare minimum, and the wifi kept dropping in and out. The hotel feels old, and the curtains and electric sliding window were a problem. I was accused of breaking the window mechanism, which I really didn't appreciate. The staff seem to be family, and that part is fine, but I'd look elsewhere.

I've never met hotel owners as wonderful as this couple. They've been in the business for over 50 years, and they really know their work.

The room at Hotel Grifone was roomy and clean, and everyone on staff was polite and helpful. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it.
